What the Word says about the tithe, and what the storehouse is for. The tithe is food — and it is the first fruits of what God gives His people.
First things
The Definition of the Storehouse
The storehouse is where God’s provision is gathered — brought in by His people and held in trust for the work of His house.
The tithe is food
It is gathered from what God gives the land and the hand — real provision, laid up for real needs.
The tithe is the first fruits
The first and the best belong to the Lord — the tithe leads, it does not follow.

God’s Intended Use of the Tithe
The tithe always goes to the people whom God has ordained should receive it:
- Full time Ministers of the Word
- Full time Musicians
- The Stranger
- Orphans
- Widows

Gathered weekly
The tithe is gathered once a week, on Sunday, when the house comes together.
Handled by the Deacons
The tithe is entrusted to the Deacons of the house, who serve it out according to need.
Distributed daily
From the storehouse it goes out daily — the Deacons even serve the daily meals themselves.
Healing the Sick
The storehouse also reaches the sick — food, care, and prayer carried to those who cannot come.

And the Deacons and ministers hold word classes that build faith — feeding the soul as the tithe feeds the body.

Faith is built one teaching at a time. These are the word classes of the house, shared through the storehouse ministry — with John Rivera and John Bevere among the recommended teachers, including Brother Bevere’s book “The Bait of Satan.”

Men’s teachings on how to conduct themselves in the house of God — headship, holiness, and honor in the assembly.
Women, in the house of God
Women’s teachings on how they are to conduct themselves — modesty, helpmeet grace, and the beauty of a quiet spirit.

How we conduct ourselves in the house of God
Everything in the house is done decently and in order — these are the teachings that keep the sanctuary what it is: a place where we gather to worship God.
An atmosphere of reverence
“It is very important to maintain an atmosphere of reverence in the sanctuary, for this is where we gather to worship God. Everything must be done decently and in order.”
Newcomers must be mentored in how to dress and conduct themselves in the house of God, since it will be foreign to them. The house does not shame the stranger — it gently teaches him the way of the house.

The men of the house
Lifting holy hands
Men should pray, lifting holy hands without wrath and without doubting — first of all, they pray.
Prayer for those in authority
They come in and immediately go into prayer for kings and all who are in authority — from the House of Prayer for all nations.
The head of his house
A man should have his wife and children in subjection to him, keeping his own house well.
His wife in the assembly
His wife should sit quietly and not speak in the church; women are to be silent in the church as the Bible says.
The services conducted by men
Church services will be conducted by the men of the house, in the order the Word sets.
“I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”

Women’s teaching
The women of the house
Come dressed modestly
Women ought to come to the house of God dressed modestly, as becomes women professing godliness.
A principle, not enforced rules
We do not enforce a set of rules — we teach a principle, and we teach classes on women’s modesty so that each woman can understand God’s heart and walk by faith in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.
Not drawing attention to oneself
We generally define modesty as not being ostentatious and not drawing attention to one’s self — because when we come together, it is to bring glory to the Lord, not to attract the eyes of others.

Children in the church
Trained by the parents
Quietly with the parents
Children are to sit quietly with their parents and be taught to honor and respect the house of God.
Gently corrected
If children beyond a certain age are unruly, they are quietly removed from the service to avoid disruption, corrected, and then brought back in — and may sit down quietly.
Training, not catering
This is training for a child; they must be trained on how to behave in the church.
The parents’ work
The church does not cater to the children — the children are trained to behave in church by the parents.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Born again members
Abstain from the four things
Born again members of Christ’s body at this location should abstain from the four things taught in the apostles’ doctrine:
Remove the willfully immoral
Anyone who calls himself a brother and walks in willful sexual immorality will be removed from the congregation.
“God’s standard is that there should not even be a hint of sexual immorality among God’s people.”
Women’s teaching · modesty, gentle help
The elder sisters offer a garment
In the event that younger women or visiting women come to church dressed in an immodest way, the elder sisters of the church will gently offer them a garment to wear or a cover-up to wear during services.
Never a rebuke in public — a quiet, sisterly kindness, so the stranger is helped and the sanctuary stays reverent.
Women’s teaching · First Corinthians 11
The covering of the head
We teach First Corinthians 11 — that it is a shame for a man to have long hair, and that a woman’s long hair is given to her for a natural covering.
- Women are free to cover or veil their heads if they choose, or if their hair is short.
- They may wear their hair long — down or up, whatever is comfortable to them.
- They are not compelled to wear any other head covering besides their long hair.

Holiness: a biblical study
Many local churches have redefined holiness to meet their own religious standard — but the house is studying the biblical definition. Holiness has to do with being at peace with everyone, and respecting the order of the house.
